The Workforce Capability Framework is a set of tools and guides to assist with improving workforce quality and establishing a shared language of ‘what good looks like’ for participants receiving support.
The first iteration of the Framework described what it meant to be ‘good enough’ in your job based on three key areas: attitude, skills, and knowledge. These are all important aspects that should be considered when assessing an individual’s ability to perform their role successfully. The second iteration of the Framework expanded on these three areas by providing clear examples of what constitutes good attitude, skills, and knowledge for each area.
These examples have been further expanded upon in the upcoming iteration by providing more detailed information about each area along with practical resources for providers, participants, and workers.
The Framework describes the attitudes, skills and knowledge expected of all workers funded under the NDIS. It provides clear and practical examples, with a suite of resources for providers, participants, and workers to use in identifying their own capabilities.
